Sommerfest Our ANNUAL SOMMERFEST picnic barbecue is set for Sunday afternoon, June 3^rd from 2:00 pm. We will be meeting at my house in Edmonds (616 Fir Street). We will enjoy each other’s company, some great snacks and beverages before we share a potluck early dinner (5pm or so) together. Come join the fun!! The whole family is Velkommen!

Godt Hjerte 2012 Our "Godt Hjerte" Fundraiser to help support our *Scholarship Program* and other extra-curricular activities of the S.L.I. has so far collected *$2,680.00* toward our goal of $3,000.00 Even though the official fundraiser is over, we always appreciate your generosity. Summer Norsk A SUMMER CONVERSATIONAL NORSK KLASSE will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays June 5, 7, 12, 14. from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. It is designed for anyone with some Norsk “language-chops”, a desire to practice what they know, an openness to playing language games and a willingness to “snakke norsk”. Tuition is $50.00. Please RSVP your interest.

CLASS REGISTRATION: Registration for each of the language courses takes place in class. All you need to do is show up. We do not do any pre-registration. Tuition payment and text fees are due within the first three weeks of the quarter. Payment can be made in cash or by check. The tuition payment is made out to the Scan. Lang. Inst. / your text fees are due directly to the teacher.

Serving the Nordic Community for over 30 years.

The Scandinavian Language Institute offers language instruction classes to the general public in various levels of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and Icelandic.

Class levels include Beginning, Know-A-Little, Intermediate and Advanced. These are scheduled each quarter throughout the school year. There are both daytime & evening classes in 4 locations around the Greater Puget Sound area.

More than just an educational facility, we offer many special services to both students and the general public.

The Scandinavian Language Institute, a Washington State non-profit corporation and tax-exempt organization, is located in the Seattle Community of Ballard at the Nordic Heritage Museum, 3014 NW 67th St.. Other classes meet in Seattle (Ballard), Bothell, Edmonds, and Everett.

The Scandinavian Language Institute gladly welcomes students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin to attend classes.
