Fall Quarter at the New Nordic Museum

Last week kicked off our inaugural quarter of language classes at the new Nordic Museum.  The excitement for the new classroom space and the Week-One participation level were both gratifying.  This includes enrollment in our new daytime Swedish class!!

It's not too late to join the fun this fall for classes that will run 9 weeks in all.  You can find the full fall schedule (including our new Nordic Book Club which is currently featuring H.C. Andersen), on-line registration and tuition payment plus more information about the Scandinavian Language Institute at our website www.SLIseattle.com

I am also excited to test-drive Nordisk Film Klubb in the new classroom space.  We have set two dates: Thursday, November 1st at 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm and Tuesday, November 20th again at 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm.  All are welcome to these screenings of Norwegian language media with English subtitles.

Planning ahead:

Our 40th annual Julefest Celebration will take place on Sunday, December 2nd at 6:00 pm at Ballard First Lutheran Church.  (more information coming)

AND my "Last Call" Summer Tour to Norway will be the summer of 2019.  I led my first tour in 1980 and have hardly missed a summer since.  Next year is my last planned group excursion to the Old Country.  The 14-day adventure starts in Oslo on June 27th.  Details are here on the website under the Travel tab and/or I can email you a copy.

Please email us if you have any questions and please feel free to forward this email along to others who might be interested in our Scandinavian language programs.  Looking forward to seeing you soon in our classrooms at the Nordic Museum in Ballard.
